COON RAPIDS — The Riverland women’s basketball team couldn’t find an answer on defense as it lost 96-49 to No. 9 ranked Anoka-Ramsey (11-4 overall, 1-0 MCAC South) on the road Wednesday.
Victoria Larson had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Devils (10-5 overall, 0-1 MCAC South), who struggled right out of the gates.
“It’s a different game against them up here,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “They play real physical and they shot the lights out.”
RCC’s Rebekah Aase was named Co-Southern Division player of the week for the third time this season after she had 20 points, 15 rebounds and four steals in a win last week.
