The Riverland Community College women’s basketball team had a season-low in turnovers and all nine of its players scored as it throttled Fond Du Lac 88-27 in Riverland Gym Wednesday.
Austin grad Rebekah Aase led the way with 18 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, five steals and two blocked shots. She also helped ignite RCC’s fast break attack by grabbing boards and making quick outlet passes.
“Aase always gets out and looks up and we’re getting a lot out of Rebekah,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “Our passing was better and we found the open player.”
The Blue Devils (5-4 overall) had three turnovers in the first minute and a half, but committed just seven over the next 38 minutes.
RCC had beaten Fond Du Lac 75-51 last week, but the score was much more lopsided this time around.
