The Golden Age of rock ‘n’ roll is coming to town once again.

The Whitesidewalls will croon once more at the Paramount Theatre at 7:30 p.m. this Thursday.

“We’re looking forward to being back,” said Pat Brown, aka “Hound Dog,” the band’s leader and one of the original Whitesidewalls members. “Hound Dog” will join “Swanee,” the other original member, “Rocky Beaumont,” “Gino Gambucci,” and “Bobby Meastro” onstage.

The band, which formed in 1972, pays homage to rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly and doo-wop which pervaded American from 1954 to 1964, just before the “British Invasion” of bands like The Beatles into popular music. With a wide catalog of songs, there’s plenty for people to hear and even more for people to see.

“We’re a show band you can dance to,” said Brown, who explained the band’s high-intensity shows usually mean every member sings lead vocals, gets to play around on stage, and injects a little humor, a few skits and a lot of laughs and cheers into the show.

“It’s a visual show, we’re very active on stage,” Brown said.

Local promoter Denny Charnecki said The Whitesidewalls have been requested by many since their last appearance at the Paramount.

“Wherever they go, people want to see them again,” Charnecki said. “It’s one of the most entertaining shows in the U.S.”

The Whitesidewalls will be at the Paramount Thursday, Nov. 29. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at showtime
