Kathryn Enger, daughter of Trudy and Charles Enger of Faribault, and David Borchardt, son of Doris and Roger Borchardt of Owatonna, proudly announce their engagement.

Kathryn is a 1986 Austin High School graduate and a 1988 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Waseca in veterinary technology. She works at Heritage Pet Hospital in Rochester.

David is a 1979 graduate of Owatonna High School, criminal justice major who completed Bemidji State University in 1983 and Hamline University School of Law in 1986. He is self employed at his law office in Owatonna.

Proud grandparents include the late Purl and Lorna Enger, formerly of Austin and Faribault, Virginia and the late Robert Dunlap of Austin; the late Otto and Hattie Wagner of Fairmont

and the late Reinhart and Lillian Borchardt of East Chain, Minn.

The couple will wed Oct. 8, 2011, in Owatonna.
