James and Laura Paquette of La Crosse, Wis., announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Marie Paquette, to Brandon Arthur Scherer, son of David and Linda Scherer of Austin.

On May 8, Leslie graduated, Magna Cum Laude, from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn., with a degree in psychology. She will pursue a master’s degree in occupational therapy at St. Catherine’s University, St. Paul, Minn., this fall.

She is currently employed with Catholic Charities.

Brandon graduated from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn., in May with a double business major in management entrepreneurship and marketing. He is currently employed with Management Art, Inc.

The couple will be married July 31 at Mary, Mother of the Church in La Crosse. A reception and dance will follow the ceremony at All Star Banquets in La Crosse.
