Four Austin High School jazz ensembles took part in the 50th annual Eau Claire Jazz Festival on Saturday. Nearly 60 students in Scarlet Jazz, Packer Jazz, Jazz One, and the Jazz Combo (pictured) took part in what is one of the nation’s largest and most competitive jazz events. Several students received Outstanding Soloist Awards. Local audiences can hear the jazz bands in concert at the Spring Jazz Show on May 13 and the annual Band Blast concert on May 20. Photo provided
