Community Sew Day returns to Albert Lea

ALBERT LEA — The annual Community Sew Day, which is part of the local Shinefest mission, will take place this Saturday at the Fairlane Building at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.

The event will span from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. People looking to participate can come all day or for however long they can sew.

Participants are asked to bring a sewing machine, scissors and pins.

Sewing kits for various projects — including quilts, personal care bags, pillow cases, tissue covers, dresses, shorts and shirts — will be provided.

Sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, sweets, coffee and water will be provided.
