Viola Irene (Wilson) Miller, 96, passed away at home Jan. 9, 2016.

Viola was born to James and Nellie (Boyd) Wilson on March 26, 1919. She graduated high school in 1936. She married Leon Miller Dec. 15, 1937. They spent their life together in Austin, Minnesota. Viola’s passions were her dogs and her family. She would do anything for her family and loved spending time with them.

Preceding her in death are her husband; infant daughter; parents; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Viola is survived by her son, Ron Miller, of Rochester; grandchildren: Kelly Johnson, of Rochester, and Jason Miller, of Naples, Florida; great-grandchildren: Braeden, Alex and Calla Johnson, of Rochester; caregiver Sharry Chapman, of Rochester; and many other relatives.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Sharry for her loving care of Viola.
