Bruce and Fran made their home in Albert Lea for many years where Bruce was president and owner of Wallace’s Department Stores. When they retired they moved to Lake San Marcos, California, where they lived for 20 years. They moved to Anna Maria Creekside, a retirement community in Medford, Oregon, in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and a sister.

Fran is survived by two children: son Robert “Bob” (Catherine) of Fairmont, Minnesota, daughter Kay (Dennis) Lair of Medford, Oregon; three grandchildren: Kevin (Jen) Lair of Bend, Oregon, Kristin (Erik) Peterson of Medford, Oregon, and Debra Wallace of Santa Cruz, California; and her mother, Julie Wallace of San Marcos, California. In addition, she is survived by four great-grandchildren: Kevin and Jen’s sons Ethan and Jonah; Kristin and Erik’s sons Lucas and Bennett.

The family requests no memorials, just a kind thought when thinking of Fran. There will be a private family internment.
