Peter George Weiss, 73, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Austin.

He was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Austin to George B. and Jeneveria (Paulson) Weiss. A lifelong resident of Austin, Peter attended Austin Public Schools. He worked in construction for PCI for 18 years, retiring in 1992. He loved to restore old furniture and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His best buddy was Asher George, his Yorkshire terrier. He especially loved his weekend getaways with his girlfriend Marian.
Peter is survived by his favorite granddaughter Bethany Weiss (Tyler Feuerhak) of Austin; his nephew Bradley George of Austin; his very special girlfriend Marian Grap of Austin; and his brother Benjamin ‘Bing’ (Mary) Weiss of Virginia, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Jeneveria Weiss; and his beloved daughter Melissa.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home one-half hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Weiss Family.
