Donna J. Snyder, 86, of Austin, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home, Austin.

Donna Jean Hagen was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Austin, Minnesota, to Theodore and Mildred (Hobson) Hagen. After her 1947 graduation from Southland High School, Donna attended secretarial training. She worked as a laborer at Hormel Foods for over 20 years. In 1959, Donna married Jerry Butcher at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Jerry passed away suddenly at the age of 36. Donna then married Ira (O.B.) Snyder. Ira passed away at the age of 76. Donna’s favorite pastimes were photography and vacationing, especially spending winters in Florida. She also enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and loved poodles.

Donna is survived by her nephews: David (Paulette) Hagen of Austin, Bill (Carolyn) Hagen, also of Austin, and Michael (Kathy) Peterson of Belgrade, Montana; special cousins: Ollie (Shar) Hagen and Lorene Ingvalson, both of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Mildred Hagen; her first husband Jerry Butcher; her second husband Ira (O.B.) Snyder; one brother Ray Hagen; one sister Arlene Peterson; and niece Elizabeth ‘Kit’ Hagen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin.
