Frigid temps to hit area this week

Are you ready for the cold?

The National Weather Service is calling for frigid wind chills over the next few days as southeast Minnesota experiences temperatures in the single digits and below.

NWS meteorologists call for wind chills of minus 20 on Tuesday morning, with wind chill values dropping as low as 29 below Tuesday night. Tuesday’s high is expected to be around 7 and temperatures will drop to 8 below Tuesday night.

Wednesday will be especially cold, with a high of 1 below and a low of minus 13 overnight into Thursday.
