Here are the picks:

Cleveland at Cincinnati

I’ll stick to my tradition of picking the home team on Thursday nights.

BENGALS 26, BROWNS 20

Kansas City at Buffalo

I had to do a double take when I noticed both of these teams are off to 5-3 starts this season. The Chiefs could be dangerous in the playoffs, but I don’t expect the Bills to keep this up.

CHIEFS 27, BILLS 17

Miami at Detroit

If this game were in Miami, I would pick the Dolphins in a heartbeat. But the Lions are getting Calvin Johnson back in the lineup and they’re coming off the bye week.

LIONS 30, DOLPHINS 24

Dallas vs. Jacksonville in London

This is a dangerous game for the Cowboys, especially if Tony Romo can’t play. But I think Dallas has enough to play for that it will find a way to win this one.

COWBOYS 28, JAGUARS 20

San Francisco at New Orleans

I’m starting to think the 49ers won’t make the postseason this year. Last week’s loss at St. Louis may be the one game that haunts them when they look back at a lost season.

SAINTS 31, 49ERS 21

Tennessee at Baltimore

The Ravens should take care of the punchless Titans.

RAVENS 27, TITANS 16

Pittsburgh at N.Y. Jets

The Steelers young weapons are growing up on a week-to-week basis and they’re suddenly looking like a contender. The Jets added Percy Harvin and it didn’t seem to make a difference at all.

STEELERS 37, JETS 17

Atlanta at Tampa Bay

I thought both of these teams would have a chance to be good this season. But that’s why it’s foolish to make playoff predictions in August.

BUCS 21, FALCONS 20

Denver at Oakland

The Raiders have been close against a lot of good teams and they nearly came back to beat Seattle last week. But that’s all they are, almost good enough to beat good teams.

BRONCOS 38, RAIDERS 30

St. Louis at Arizona

The Cardinals have the best record in the NFL right now. Just let that sink in.

CARDINALS 29, RAMS 17

N.Y. Giants at Seattle

The Giants have some promising young receivers, but they don’t have the running game they need to compete consistently on offense.

SEAHAWKS 30, GIANTS 15

Chicago at Green Bay

The Packers will have trouble making a postseason run if they continue to rank dead last in run defense. But they are certainly good enough to beat the Bears in Lambeau Field in primetime.

PACKERS 31, BEARS 30

Carolina at Philadelphia

Mark Sanchez once led the Jets to two straight AFC title games. I bet the Jets wish they had him now after watching him look solid in relief last week.

EAGLES 24, PANTHERS 13

Last week: 8-4; overall: 84-48
