Riverland sophomore pitcher Cody Schact was named MCAC player of the year Tuesday.

Schact, a sophomore from Glitner, Neb., went 7-1 with an ERA of 1.15. He struck out 62 in 55 innings and allowed 38 hits and just five walks.

RCC’s Brock Rude and Rube Correa were selected to the All-MCAC team, along with Scacht.
