The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team overcame a slow start to beat Northland 78-63 in Riverland Gym Saturday.

Guillermo DeDiego, a sophomore from Milwaukee, Wis., led the Blue Devils (6-3 overall) as he scored 24 points and dished out five assists. Andrew Lau had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists for RCC, which had just six turnovers as a team.

“We did a nice job of getting to the basket,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “They really couldn’t guard Guillermo and he played a tremendous game.”
