Rebels run past Knights

ADAMS —The Southland football team got its ground game rolling as it topped Kingsland (0-3 overall, 0-3 SFA Blue) 44-14 in Adams Friday.

The Rebels (1-2 overall, 1-2 SFA Blue) racked up 307 yards on the ground as they led 31-0 at the half.

“This was our typical Southland style and it was a real nice win,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said.

Marvin Heimer ran for 159 yards and scored two TDs for the Rebels, and Lukas Anderson, who didn’t play football for the past two seasons, ran for 60 yards and two TDs and he also ran a kickoff back 64 yards for a score.
