Rebels beat Kingsland in five games

ADAMS —The Southland volleyball team edged out Kingsland (0-3 overall, 0-2 Three Rivers) in five games by scores of 7-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-16, 15-5 in Adams Thursday.

The Rebels (3-4 overall, 1-1 Three Rivers) won three straight games to win the match.

“I am so proud of this team,” Southland head coach Andrea McKichan said. “To come back after losing games one and two shows a lot of character and teamwork. Sophomore Olivia Gray showed a lot of poise and talent tonight. When we needed someone to step up and serve receive the ball well, she was able to do that for us.”
