Josephine “Josie” Kuhns, 84, of LeRoy, Minn., died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at LeRoy SLS where she resided.

Josie was born on May 22, 1928, to Ben and Francis Kuhns in Austin, Minn. She lived at Cambridge State Hospital from 1937 to 1970, and from there moved to Ah-Gwah-Ching and lived there 1970 to 1973. She was a resident at Madden’s Nursing Home from 1973 to 1980, and a resident of Hilltop Nursing Home from 1980 to 1982. She moved to Adams Group Home in Adams, Minn., and resided there from 1982 to 1991. Since Aug. 26, 1991, Josie has resided in LeRoy at LeRoy SLS. She loved music; she listened to all kinds of music.

Josie is survived by a sister Bonnie of California. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Josephine Kuhns will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy with the Rev. Karen Grandall officiating.
