MESABI — The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team avenged a loss to Mesabi last week when it beat Mesabi 68-54 in a tournament Friday.
Zach Bunch started the game off with a driving dunk for the Blue Devils and he finished with 27 points on 13-of-19 shooting.
“They had no answer for Zach,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “This was our best outing of the season.”
Andrew Lau had 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists for RCC.
On Saturday, the Blue Devils (6-6 overall) won with a 2-0 forfeit over St. Scholastica JV, which didn’t have any healthy players.
