NFL Picks: Bears should stop 49ers

Here are the picks:

Miami at Buffalo

The Dolphins might be in a tailspin. They sure looked like it in an embarrassing 37-3 loss to the Titans last week.

BILLS 27, DOLPHINS 17

Green Bay at Detroit

The Packers are coming off a bye week and a three-game winning streak. Mike McCarthy will have them ready.

PACKERS 34, LIONS 20

Arizona at Atlanta

I wouldn’t say Atlanta’s loss at New Orleans was the worst thing in the world for them. They had a first and goal to win the game and just couldn’t come through.

Usually you learn a lot more from losing than winning and the Falcons, who are still set to be the top seed in the NFC, may have picked up some lessons in the loss.

FALCONS 21, CARDINALS 17

Cleveland at Dallas

The Browns do have two wins this season and I’m not sure how that happened.

COWBOYS 38, BROWNS 17

Cincinnati at Kansas City

The Chiefs don’t have a legitimate quarterback and it’s sabotaged their season.

BENGALS 24, CHIEFS 10

N.Y. Jets at St. Louis

The Rams are tough to beat in the dome.

RAMS 30, JETS 20

Philadelphia at Washington

I don’t see the Eagles winning on the road if they have to start rookie QB Nick Foles.

Tampa Bay at Carolina

Trust in the Bucs.

BUCS 33, PANTHERS 27

Jacksonville at Houston

The Texans looked good on defense against the Bears, but that offense can still be a little shaky in the passing game.

TEXANS 35, JAGUARS 10

New Orleans at Oakland

The Saints probably won’t get to the playoffs this year, but don’t be surprised if they finish 8-8.

SAINTS 34, RAIDERS 13

San Diego at Denver

The Chargers defense is questionable and Peyton Manning is good.

Indianapolis at New England

If the game was in Indy, I’d have half a mind to roll with the Colts. But I can’t pick them on the road.

PATRIOTS 24, COLTS 21

Baltimore at Pittsburgh

No Roethlisberger. No chance.

RAVENS 27, STEELERS 9

Chicago at San Francisco

I don’t think the 49ers are a good offense if they can’t run the ball to set up their play-action passing. The Bears have one of the best run defenses in the NFL and this game could be Alex Smith’s worst nightmare.

BEARS 24, 49ERS 14

Last week: 8-6; Overall: 77-57
