Jordan Michael Ressler, age 16 of Blooming Prairie, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.

Jordan was born July 23, 1994, in Austin to Michael and Melissa (Braaten) Ressler. He grew up in Blooming Prairie and attended Blooming Prairie Public Schools. Jordan was a junior at Blooming Prairie High School and a member of First Lutheran Church. He loved basketball, golf and was an avid Texas Longhorn fan. Jordan loved music and had a great singing voice. He also loved bowling, was a good dancer, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Jordan was a gentle, loving friend to everyone and the best big brother in the world.

Survivors include: his parents, Michael and Melissa Ressler; brother, Jake; sister, Jessica; grandparents, Mary Braaten, Karla Iacovino, David Ressler; great grandparents, Sylvia Plunkett, Charlotte Braaten, Norma Hanson, George and Tillie Ressler; aunts and uncles, Jay (Kelly) Braaten, Joey Braaten and Lauren Benda, Kristin (Jack) Holforty, Aaron Ressler and Julia Haynie, Eric (Melanie) Ressler; cousins, Tommy and Abby Braaten, Jackson and Taylor Holforty, Lola Haynie, Connor Ressler; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Braaten.

Visitation will be held at First Lutheran Church, Blooming Prairie from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, with Rev. Charles Leonard and Rev. Heidi Heimgartner officiating. Interment will be in the Red Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be no reviewal at the church on Wednesday. Worlein–Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
