A foot search was planned for Friday morning to find a missing Austin native in the Monticello area.

The Wright County Sheriff’s office is investigating a missing person case involving St. Cloud resident and Austin native Tyler Berg.

Berg’s family and law enforcement partnered with volunteer search organization United Legacy to continue the search and planned a foot search at various areas around Minticello starting at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

According to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the 24-year-old Berg was last seen as his residence in St. Cloud the night of Sunday, Nov. 22. His vehicle, a black Mercury Cougar, was found abandoned near Otter Creek Park in Monticello early Monday morning. Clothing, suspected to belong to Berg were discovered in the park and the Monticello Country Club golf course.

Anybody with information as to the whereabouts of Berg or had contact with him are asked to contact Sgt. Albert Lutgens at 1-763-682-7637.
