WORTHINGTON — The Riverland women’s basketball opened its season with a 61-47 win over Dordt JV Saturday and a 63-48 win over Madison Tech. at the Worthington Classic.

Austin grad Rebekah Aase had 25 points and 14 rebounds against Dordt and 17 points and 14 rebounds against Madison Tech. Victoria Larson scored 17 in both games for the Blue Devils (2-0 overall).

“We did a great job on defense in both games and a lot of people stepped up,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said.
