Western Wis. inmates escape, at large

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin reports that inmates James C. Misleveck and James R. Newman walked away from the Black River Correctional Boot Camp in Komensky Township on July 17. The inmates were last seen at approximately 10:30 p.m. wearing issued tan T-shirts and gray shorts.

Misleveck is white, age 18, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with shaved or very short brown hair and brown eyes. His left ear is pierced. Newman is white, age 29, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, with shaved or very short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of praying hands on his right arm.

Authorities believe Misleveck and Newman stole a 1996 black Chrysler Concorde with Wisconsin plate 728TDX between July 18 and 19. It is believed that Misleveck and Newman may still be operating this vehicle. Their direction of travel is unknown. If anyone sees these them, they should contact local law enforcement immediately. Police warn not to approach them or attempt to take any other action. Call 911 or Detective Kelly Bakken, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Wis., 715-284-5357 Ext. 180.
