One of two pleads not guilty after drug raid

One of two suspects arrested after an Austin drug raid on Nov. 30 has pleaded not guilty in Mower County Court.

Jacquelyne Couture Fisher, 21, of Austin, pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony fifth-degree drug possession. The other suspect, Blake Allen Miller, 37, of Austin, faces the same charge but has another hearing set for Dec. 26.

According to the court complaint, officers went to the 2100 block of 16th Street SE on Nov. 30 with a search warrant to enter the house. Officers arrested Miller after he arrived in a truck. Miller allegedly carried methamphetamines and paraphernalia.

Police then knocked on the door to the home, and a woman said she was coming to the door. However, police say the woman then turned and went to the kitchen instead, so they forced through the door and arrested Fisher. According to the court complaint, police found .07 grams of meth, numerous pipes, capsules, tubing, a digital scale, a small amount of marijuana, a box of pull tabs from the American Legion, 10 cell phones and other paraphernalia.

Fisher’s pretrial is set for March 28.
