Two events about to showcase history this week in Austin
History buffs have two opportunities to get their fix this month.
First, Dustin Heckman will host “Mower County & the New Deal” at the Mower County Senior Center at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The program is a repeat from the February session held at the Hormel Historic Home.
Then, geographer and author David Lanegran speaks at the Hormel Historic Home at noon Thursday, April 25, as the historical society kicks off its 2013 season of Lunchbox History Series. Both are free presentations.
