Duplicate Bridge

Tournament results for Aug. 20 with four tables played: First place, Dave Ring and Orrion Roisen; second place, Larry Crowe and Ron Peters; third place, Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends; fourth place, Bonnie Schultz and Romelle Enderson; fifth place, Marilyn Gesme and Helen Ringham.

Duplicate Bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. All Bridge players are welcome. Call Dave Ring at 507-434-4189.

 National Active and Retired Federal Employees

National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 469 met Aug. 12, 2014, at the Pizza Ranch in Austin, Minnesota. Brigitte Campbell, Executive Director of Freeborn-Mower Habitat for Humanity, explained how Habitat for Humanity works to rehab and build safe, decent and affordable housing in Freeborn and Mower Counties. Committee reports were given and a business meeting conducted. The next meeting will be on Oct. 14, 2014, at the Pizza Ranch in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
