Magic Jack brings his show to the senior center

The Amazing Magic Jack will be at the Senior Center at noon on Oct. 15, to demonstrate his skills as a magician and make you laugh.

The Amazing Magic Jack is a retired senior citizen that performs magic, weaves his humor and winning routines into a super show by creating laughter, fun, audience participation, and some terrific magic that will entertain all.

Magic Jack has performed for many senior events and teaches magic classes. He has performed for Treasure Island Resort and Casino, Le Sueur Mall Halloween Event, MEEP Leadership Conference in Brainerd, Sertoma Convention, Ring 19 Magic Banquet, Chamber of Commerce annual meeting, Mall of America, KIA Motors Grand Opening, Amboy Arts Festival, Northbridge Mall while also appearing on Otter Places, Otter Times with Garrison Keillor among several other events.

He has won nine magic competitions, including 2013 America’s Funniest Magician and a number of stage and close-up contests. You don’t want to miss his show for anything.

Do you like to drive, here there and everywhere, over the river and through the woods? Do you like to meet interesting people and help others in need, or pay it forward for yourself worthiness? If you have a valid driver’s license, insured personal vehicle, a good driving record and the desire to help with transportation of individuals, the Mower County Senior Center has an open position for a volunteer driver.

A volunteer driver uses their personal vehicle to drive clients to and from appointments as assigned by the transportation coordinator. The transportation coordinator will assign client pick up times and notify a driver of the ride that’s available. A driver will pick up the client from home or place of pick up, drive to their medical appointment or necessary services.

After the appointment, the volunteer driver will give them a ride home. Drivers can make their own schedules of days and times available, in-town rides or out -of town drives, and the driver has the right to refuse a ride. Volunteer drivers receive mileage reimbursement at the federal rate, reimbursement for meals and the reimbursement of smiles and laughs.
