Head north for some good music

The Hennepin Theatre Trust is hosting a trio of big time shows in this fall starting with a rock ‘n’ roll legend in early Septemeber.

Styx lead singer Dennis DeYoung will perform the classics of the band’s at the Pantages Theatre at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 when he performs “Dennis DeYoung: The Music of Styx,” now on tour. Tickets are currently on sale with prices ranging from $53.50 and $63.50.

Bookending the month will be “The Tim and Eric & Dr. Steve Brule 2014 Tour” at 8 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the State Theatre. This stand-up act is based on the sketch comedy television series “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” featured on Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim.” Tickets are now on sale and run $37.50.

Finally, on Dec. 7, will be the “Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party at the Pantages Theatre at 7 p.m. The band will be performing songs from their third Christmas album, “It Feels Like Christmas Time.” Tickets are now on sale and range from $37.50 to $47.50.
