A news photographer has those shots that just stick out more than others and I’m no different. Whether, it’s news, sports, magazine or private, there are those photos that I find to be my favorite and I can only hope that throughout the year you enjoyed them as well.

The above shot was of Hattie Stadheim taken during a photo shoot for the September-October issue of Austin Living Magazine. A photo, that admittedly, I glossed over, was caught by co-worker Heather Ryks and ultimately turned out to be my favorite of the year. Inside you will find more, including a photo from an epic sports battle to a view of the southern night sky over the wind turbines near Grand Meadow. Again, my hope is you enjoyed looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
