Group sets Guinness World Record with 1,325-pound Fritos Chili Pie made with 660 cans of Hormel Chili

Hormel found itself in the Guinness Book of World Records again thanks to a meal of epic proportions.

A crew from Frito-Lay at the Texas State Fair on Monday celebrated Fritos’ 80th birthday by concocting a record-setting 1,325-pound Fritos Chili Pie — made with 660 15-ounce cans of Hormel Chili without beans, according to Fox News. The meal is the world’s largest Fritos Chili Pie, according to Guinness.

The chili pie also had 635 10.5-ounce bags of Fritos, and 290 pounds of shredded cheddar cheese, Fox News reported.

Spam made the Guinness Book of World Records in July 2011 when a group in Fremont, Neb., constructed a 1,652-pound ‘Spamwich,’ the world’s largest open-face sandwich by 300 pounds at the time.
