Congrats to Krenz on recognition

On behalf of our local Austin Educators Association and its 300-plus members, we would like to echo our congratulations to Superintendent David Krenz for his recent recognition as an “Administrator of Excellence” in the state of Minnesota. On merits ranging from outstanding leadership to state committees to professional and community involvement, the Minnesota Association of School Administrators has recognized David’s quiet but steady advocacy for public education, and we are pleased to have him on board with us. When reflecting upon the superintendent, a quote from Lao Tzu comes to mind:

“A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.”

Superintendent Krenz has quietly provided leadership and support to empower all Austin Public Schools employees to achieve more. The Austin Education Association would like to congratulate Krenz; this is a much deserved award.
