Duplicate Bridge

Tournament results for Jan. 6, 2016, four tables played: First place, Dave Ring and Orrion Roisen; second place: Edna Knobbe and Cleo Osmundson; third place: Gene Domino and Rick Stroup; fourth place: Ron Peters and Vandy Newman.

Duplicate Bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. All Bridge players are welcome. Bring a partner and enjoy an afternoon of cards.

 Golden Age Club

The flag pledge was led by Everett DeYoung, president.

Chaplain Eloise Williamette read a reading entitled, “We Are Able to Do,” from the book, “Jesus Calling.” The secretary and treasurer’s reports were given and approved. First by Eloise Williamette and seconded by Roman Kikuts.

No old business was reported. New business: $3 dues are due and people are needed to sign up for serving at coffee time. Eloise Williamette and Emma Heimer celebrated January birthdays. No anniversaries were reported for the month. No illnesses reported for the month.

Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join.
