Anastasia Mitchell

Anastasia Mitchell participated in the Concordia Language Villages program by attending a two-week session at Lac du Bois, the French Language Village, located near Hackensack, Minnesota.

Anastasia is the daughter of Barbara and Richard Mitchell, of Austin, and will be in seventh grade at Pacelli Catholic School this fall. This is her second year attending the Language Villages program.

By attending Lac du Bois, the French Language Village, Anastasia experienced a simulated visit to another country. Anastasia was issued a passport, exchanged currency and adopted a new name.

By interacting with staff from all over the world, Anastasia also learned about the many opportunities available to those who speak more than one language.

Anastasia was immersed in the language and culture of another country through large and small learning groups, authentic foods, holiday celebrations, re-enactments of historic events, songs, dances, crafts, games and everyday conversations.

Concordia Language Villages is a program of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota.
