The Austin girls swimming and diving dropped a pair of duals to Lakeville South and Lakeville North, falling 97-88 in both matchups, in its season opener in Ellis Middle School Friday.

Austin senior Helen Heimark took first in four events on the night.

Against Lakeville North, Heimark took first in the 200-freestyle and the 100-freestyle, Autumn Laury took first in diving, Emily McAlister took first in the breaststroke, the 400-freestyle relay team of Helen Heimark, Emily McAlister, Maddie Kinney and Lindsey McAlister.

Against Lakeville South, Laury took first in diving, Heimark took first in the 100-freestyle, Maddie Kinney took first in the 100-back stroke and Emily McAlister took first in the 100-breaststroke.
