The president of Riverland Community College will give a State of the College address three times next week, once at all three campuses.

Adenuga Atewologun will speak at the Austin campus from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Monday in the East Building Library. The address will be streamed live over the Internet via the college’s website, riverland.edu.

He then travels to Albert Lea to speak from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 124. On Tuesday, he speaks again from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Owatonna in the campus commons.

Atewologun will introduce Riverland’s latest plan for the future, “Strategic Vision: A Blueprint for Excellence.”

“The new plan is our response to meet the challenges and exceed the expectations of our communities and stakeholders,” according to a press release.

It goes on to say Riverland is capable of more growth by playing to its strengths.

A web page about the plan describes it as a five-year framework that calls for individual enterprise, collective thinking and collaboration.

“Our strategic planning process revealed four major industries that require our targeted efforts: agriculture, manufacturing, health care and entrepreneurship,” Atewologun wrote for the website. “Furthermore, some of our residents ask us to expand opportunities for them to complete baccalaureate degrees in engineering, liberal arts and the sciences as close to home as possible.”
