Sarah Kuichtoch, 31, of St. Cloud was charged with felony first-degree drugs – possess 100 grams or more of methamphetamine, felony fifth-degree drug possession, misdemeanor driving after revocation and petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on Thursday in Mower County District Court.

Sarah Kuichtoch, 31

According to the court complaint, a Minnesota State Patrol trooper was sitting stationary on Interstate 90 near milepost 183 in Mower County when he observed a westbound 2000 Toyota Sienna with a damaged windshield that appeared to be impeding the driver’s view. The trooper initiated a traffic stop and the Toyota pulled over near milepost 181. He advised the driver, Kuichtoch, of the reason for the stop and she told him she did not have a valid driver’s license.

The trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Kuichtoch adamantly denied having marijuana in the vehicle.

A second trooper arrived on scene and ran Kuichtoch’s information, learning that her license status was “revoked.”

Kuichtoch was advised that a police canine was going to sniff around the vehicle because of the marijuana odor. The canine alerted to the presence of narcotics in the rear of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 111.77 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 59.47 grams of marijuana and a methamphetamine pipe. Kuichtoch was then arrested.

Kuichtoch will appear in court again on April 30.
