Dylan Matthew Drees, 24, of Austin was charged with four counts each of felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct – penetration of child under 13 – and felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct – significant relationship – child under 16 – multiple acts – on Thursday in Mower County District Court.

According to the court complaint, an Austin police officer met with two women on April 14. The women reported that two girls, ages 10 and 12, had disclosed Drees, who was known to them, had been touching them “in spots we don’   t feel comfortable with.”

A child protection worker separately interviewed the girls. Both said Drees would inappropriately touch them when they were alone with him. One said she was abused every day, while the other could not recall how many times the alleged abuse occurred.

One of the women said she believed the abuse occurred from August to November 2019, but one of the alleged victims indicated it began as early as April 2018. The woman also told police she confronted Drees about the allegations and that he told her he was “going to kill himself.”

A detective interviewed Drees, who denied the allegations, saying they lied to make him leave.

A review of Drees’    criminal record shows a prior conviction for misdemeanor domestic assault.

Drees will appear in court again on April 27.
