The Hayfield boys basketball team beat Maple River (12-14 overall, 8-6 Gopher) 68-53 in Hayfield Friday.

Luke Dudycha became the 12th boys player in Hayfield history to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career as he scored 18 points for the Vikings (21-5 overall, 10-4 Gopher).
