Southland (5-1 overall) was playing without Ethan Forthun, Noah Sayles, Brendan Kennedy and Dan Boe.

“It wasn’t pretty, but a ‘W’ is a ‘W.’ It definitely hurts when you have four two-way starters who don’t play,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said. “The kids have stepped up behind them and our defense played amazing.”
