Renee Marie Aswegan, 62, of Lyle, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.

Renee was born Jan. 28, 1957, in Austin, Minnesota, to Kenneth and Lois (Nuetzmann) Kneeskern. She grew up in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 1975. Renee retired from Hormel Foods in 2015 after 31 years of service

Renee and Alan celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past August. They were united in marriage on Aug. 25, 1989, in Austin.

Renee loved to garden, her dog Lucy, and her grandkids.

Renee was always ready for a new adventure with Al, whether it was on the boat, on the back of their motorcycle or a trip to Mexico.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Aswegan, Lyle; daughter, Angie (Jeremy) Hofland, Colfax, Iowa; daughter, Melissa Madison, Lyle; grandchildren, Hunter and Summer Madison, Lyle; son, Michael (Emily) Arndt, Loveland, Colorado; son, Joseph Hubbard, Austin; brother, Greg Kneeskern, Carpenter, Iowa; and brother, Steven Kneeskern, Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eric Kneeskern; and nephew, Karl Kneeskern.

A celebration of life for Renee will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at the Lyle Liquor Store. Condolences may be left online at www.mayerfh.com.
