Phyllis Morem, 85, of Scottsdale, Arizona, died Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Phyllis was born in Elgin, Minnesota, to Leo and Sylvia Prescher. In 1950, she met and married Robert Morem of Austin, Minnesota. They lived and raised their two children in Austin. She worked at the Fantle’s store downtown until she opened her own store, Phyl’s Shoes and Uniforms. In 1985, they moved to Scottsdale to retire. They returned to visit family and friends many times over the next 20 years. She will be missed greatly by all the people that knew her and loved her wonderful spirit.

Phyllis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Morem of Surprise, Arizona; son-in-law, Dennis Bishop of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; grandchildren, James and Erika Morem of Buckley, Washington, Mike and Michelle (Morem) Weston of Fremont, Nebraska, and Derek Bishop in Brooklyn Park; and five great-grandchildren. Other family includes her sister, Lois Scholzen; brother, Maynard and Lovetta Prescher; brother-in-law, Charles Morem; brother-in-law, Gary and Renetta Morem; sister-in-law, Donna Prescher; sister-in-law, Delores Morem; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2007; daughter, Barbara, in 2008; granddaughter, Maigan, in 2018; and brothers, Leonard and Marvin.
