Published 2:40 pm Saturday, March 10, 2018
The Mower County Senior Center is hosting attorney Jennifer Gumbel for a two-part seminar.
She is calling it Organizing Your (After) Life.
Part one is titled “Probate and Legal Documents” and will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Part 2 is titled “Legal Costs, Taxes and Nursing Home Care. It will be presented at 1 p.m. on March 20. You do not have to attend both to come.
Ever wondered what probate is? Or what a will is? What does a trust actually do? Join Gumbel to find out answers to these common questions. Learn ways to minimize issues that can arise upon death, so that your loved ones might avoid unnecessary problems.
Gumbel is an attorney with Hoversten, Johnson, Beckmann & Hovey, LLP in Austin. She serves clients in the areas of estate planning and probate. She takes a special interest in guiding clients in addressing issues arising when their loved ones pass away and helping them prevent issues from arising in their own estate, especially for farming families locally and international families globally.
Gumbel is a frequent presenter and blogger on the topic, with a passion to inform people on the process of managing and distributing property after a death and how to best organize their affairs to make the process as smooth as possible for their loved ones. She also assists clients in their real estate and business needs, particularly in conjunction with organizing their affairs.
If you are interested in signing up for either one of these seminars or both please sign up by stopping by our front desk or call 1-507-422-2370.
Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we are having rueben hotdish in the coffee shop for only $2.
