No charges were filed following a fight at Austin’s Wal-Mart on Saturday — but thanks to social media, the confrontation is gaining a lot of conversation and views on Facebook.

As of Wednesday morning, the video had had over 114,000 views.

The altercation between four women occurred mid-afternoon at Wal-Mart, according to Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May. Staff at the store broke up the fight, although Austin police were on scene after it occurred.

What is assumed to be a cell phone video shows women near the jewelry section who suddenly begin to throw punches.

Two of the women end up on the floor, continuing to punch at each other. Another one of the initial four participants, along with another woman, are then seen pulling one of the women across the floor by her ponytail. The video ends as the staff begins to approach the fight.

May said the parties apparently knew each other before they entered the store and after some words were exchanged, began to fight.

None of the participants or Wal-Mart wanted to pursue charges in the incident, he added.
