The silent auction, which about 90 items were donated, raised $4,900. Carrie (Erie) King (formerly from Dexter) was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2015. She and her army of family and friends donated close to half of the silent auction items.

King’s family and friends also hosted the World’s Breast Bake Sale at The Creek Bar and had breast cancer awareness items for sale, which raised $400.

They also helped The Creek Bar prepare and serve the Pink Pancake Breakfast, which raised $1,300.

“Their help was phenomenal and greatly appreciated,” Wendy Landherr ROLE said. “We wish Carries the best of luck on her journey to battle this horrible disease!”

The Rose Creek Fire Department hosted the Vintage Snowmobile Show and Ride, which included over 65 snowmobiles, 30 of which were vintage, and raised $775.

They also held a beanbag tournament with 20 teams participating, which raised $425.

Three firemen also strutted their stuff in pink bras, wigs and fuzzy slippers and raised $600 for the cause.

Pallet painting raised $165, can coolie sales and other donations amounted to $500 raised.

“All in all, a very successful event we hope to build on each year,” Landherr said.
