Scientists meet to discuss research at The Hormel Institute

Dr. Rebecca Morris of The Hormel Institute gives a presentation on her research last week to attendees of the Minnesota Chemoprevention Consortium (MC²) meeting, hosted by Dr. Zigang Dong, executive director of The Hormel Institute. The group meets quarterly to hear presentations on current projects. The collaborative group consists of researchers from The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota; Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota in Minneapolis; Mayo Clinic; Hormel Foods Corp.; and the University of Minnesota’s Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca. Minnesota Chemoprevention Consortium — just one of The Hormel Institute’s collaborative initiatives — focuses on exploring new collaborations that effectively integrate agriculture with medicine.
