The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team used a defensive adjustment to beat Schaeffer Academy (4-13 overall, 4-9 SEC) 66-51 in Rochester Friday.

Schaeffer’s Josiah Nelson had 24 points in the first half, but LP switched to a box and one defense with Brady Lester and Nathan Drees matching up with him to pull away in the second half.

“He’s a shooter and we had to go box in one on him and held him scoreless the rest of the way,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said.
