Update: Accident near Runnings under investigation

Austin firefighters, police and EMT’s load the occupant of a car that veered into a ditch into the back of an ambulance.
A one-car accident near Runnings Wednesday is under investigation.
According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, the car went into the ditch as the driver was under the influence of a controlled substance. The driver and a passenger were not injured, and the case is under investigation as results are pending and charges are unknown.
The accident occured on Highway 218 north of 18th Avenue Northwest.
