Tyler Berg had been missing for about a week when volunteers from United Legacy Search, Rescue & Recovery found the body of an adult male Sunday in a marsh near Interstate Highway 94. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office announced late Sunday that the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office would be conducting an autopsy and making a positive identification on the body.

No autopsy results or identification were released Monday. But on Monday afternoon a page appeared on the fundraising website www.gofundme.com saying Berg’s body had been found, and seeking to “ease financial hardship” on Berg’s family.

Deanna Villella, president of United Legacy Search, Rescue & Recovery, said the page was created by Berg’s brother-in-law. Villella said the group was not planning any additional search efforts.
