The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team had its hands full with No. 4 ranked Spring Grove (1-0 overall, 1-0 SEC) as the Lions beat LP 71-30 in Spring Grove Monday.

The Athletics (2-1 overall, 2-1 SEC) struggled against SG’s defense as they had 17 first half turnovers.

“They just completely out-played us,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “They play hard man-to-man defense and they put pressure on the ball. It’s a really good program over there and they have some huge goals.”

Noah Jiskra had 12 points and eight rebounds for LP.

“It’s something to learn from,” Koenigs said. “If we want to compete with a team like that, we’ve got some work to do.”
